Professional career

Aurelio is Of Counsel at BAYLOS. He has also been, in the past, Of Counsel for FJF Legal and SALVADOR FERRANDIS IP LEGAL. He advises on issues related to international litigation in IP law and also whether certain activities related to Internet service providers comply with the legal requirements or not. He provides services to companies in the IT sector and specialised law firms in international trade.
He has been a WIPO consultant for the project "IP National Strategy - Peru" (2014), and has worked as an expert in EU Intellectual Property Law in the MUTRAP III Project - Vietnam Multilateral Trade Assistance Project (2011),(2011), and for the European Parliament.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law by the University of Alicante (1996).
  • Expert Course in Copyright Law at the Magister Lvcentinvus - University of Alicante (1997).
  • “Master on International Legal Cooperation” in Vrije Universiteit Brussels (1998-1999). Master in Electronic Transmissions at the University of Valencia (2000-2001)
  • PhD (Doctorate) in Law by the University of Alicante Thesis (Final Project) on software international agreements led by Manuel Desantes Real and Javier Carrascosa (2004).

Author of many articles in the fields of arbitration, E-commerce, protection of consumers and Intellectual Property Rights. Full Professor of Private International Law at the University of Alicante, Lecturer at the Magister Lvcentinvs in Intellectual Property at the University of Alicante and Coordinator of the Module of Law on Information Society and Technologies (since 1998); Lecturer of EIPIN European PhD– Information Society (Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska Curie Action ITN-EJD 2016-2019); Lecturer of the IP Module at the University Master’s Degree in Business Law, University of Navarra; Lecturer of the Module “Data Promotion” del LL M. in Law of Internet Technologies at Università Bocconi (Milan, Italy since 2017).
He has participated in many seminars and conferences in Spain and abroad on Intellectual Property Law and New Technologies.
