Professional career
Isabel joins Baylos in 2019. She previously worked as trainee at the Technology Transfer Office of the University of Granada, and more recently at Arochi & Lindner.
In addition to her wide knowledge of national, European, and international Intellectual Property legislation, she has a solid experience in both, prosecuting trademarks before the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office, and at international level through foreign associates.
Her expertise also includes drafting statements of defence and opposition, C&D letters, letters of undertaking and licensing agreements, as well as coordinating projects to combat counterfeiting in Latin America.
At present, her professional practice is focused on prosecution of Trademarks and Designs before the SPTO, EUIPO and WIPO, as well as through foreign associates.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Business Administration at University of Granada (2012-2017).
- Masters’ Degree in Intellectual Property at the University of Alicante (Magister Lvcentinvs) (2017-2018).
- Currently preparing the official aptitude test for the professional activity of Industrial Property Agent in Spain.
- Introduction to the UPOV System of Plant Variety Protection under the UPOV Convention. UPOV distance learning courses jointly with WIPO (2018).
