On September 9, the Beijing Intellectual Property Court ruled in favor of Louboutinand found that the defendant had infringed China's Unfair Competition Law by intentionally and "maliciously" offering high-heeled shoes with a red sole that reflected the design and well-known red sole of Louboutin's shoes, with confusion for consumers as to the origin of the shoes and/or their connection to Louboutin.
