Pedro Merino Baylos


Pedro has been a partner at BAYLOS since 1996. Between February 2017 and January 2021, he was President of the Spanish Group of the AIPPI. Between 2011 and 2016 he was an Of Counsel for OLSWANG in Spain. He advises his national and international clients in all Industrial Property, Intellectual Property and Unfair Competition matters. He specialises in litigation in these fields, specifically in patent matters and in the area of television programme formats. Over the last few years, he has participated in important patent litigations in the pharmaceutical, telecommunications and wind turbine sectors, as well as sectors relating to different industrial machinery and one of the most famous television programme formats in Spain. His professional activity also includes advising on contractual and pre-litigation matters. He has extensive experience in cross-border litigations.
