PROFESSIONAL CAREER:
Isabel Mercado joined BAYLOS in 2019. She worked as a trainee at the Research Results Transfer Office of the University of Granada and at Arochi & Lindner (Madrid). She also took part in the 19th edition of the EIPIN (European Intellectual Property Institutes Network).
Together with her broad knowledge of national, European and international legislation on Industrial and Intellectual Property, she has experience in processing trade mark and design files before the different Industrial Property Offices (SPTO, EUIPO, WIPO and international offices through an associates network).
In 2022, Isabel became certified as an Industrial Property Agent. Her current professional practice includes, among others, prosecuting and monitoring Trade Marks and Designs, Utility Models and Patents, preparing protection strategies for intangible assets, preparing viability reports, drafting trade mark defence and opposition documents, letters of formal notice and coexistence agreements.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Law and in Business Administration and Management from the University of Granada (2012-2017).
Master’s in Industrial and Intellectual Property (Magister Lvcentinvs) from the University of Alicante (2017-2018).
Industrial Property Agent Certification (2021-2022).
