Morgan Schaaf

PROFESSIONAL CAREER:

Morgan Schaaf has been an associate at BAYLOS since 2015 and has over 10 years of experience, offering her clients practical guidance in order to integrate into her client’s business strategy, combining her legal expertise with her knowledge of different business sectors.

 She specialised in civil litigation in all matters related to industrial and intellectual property, as well as advertising, unfair competition, protection of competition. She has been also involved in managing and coordinating important litigation both before the national jurisdictional bodies and before the Court of Justice of the European Union relating to a variety of business sectors, such as fashion, jewellery, spirits and soft drinks, telecommunications, digital, audiovisual, media, perfumes, music, luxury products and Premium brands.

 She also has extensive experience in all types of proceedings before the EUIPO and WIPO, national and international IP right portfolio management, drafting contracts (trade mark license, agency contracts, distribution agreements, intellectual rights assignment agreements, etc.), as well as in protecting intangible assets online.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (French-Hispanic Law).

  • Master’s in European Union and Competition Law from Carlos University III of Madrid.

  • Master’s in Intellectual and Industrial Property and New Technologies from the Autonomous University of Madrid.

RECOGNITIONS / ASOCIATIONS:

  • Morgan has been included in the list of 35 most influential lawyers in Spain under 35 by Laywerpress and nominated for the 40 Under 40 prize by Iberian Lawyer in 2021.
