PROFESSIONAL CAREER:
Cristina Iglesias joined BAYLOS in 2019. She previously worked at JACOBACCI & PARTNERS and PONS IP (Madrid).
She has extensive experience in Industrial Property and in-depth knowledge of the legislation and trade mark proceedings at a national, European and international level, either directly before the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO), the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), or internationally through the network of foreign partners. Her experience also includes drafting letters of formal notice, coexistence agreements and all types of defence and opposition documents before the EUIPO and SPTO.
Her professional practice currently focuses on the strategic management of trade mark portfolios, their prosecution and monitoring Trade Marks and Designs before the SPTO, EUIPO and WIPO, as well as prosecution in foreign countries through the network of local Agents of the firm.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of A Coruña (2010).
LL.M in International Law, Foreign Trade and International Relations from the Higher Institute of Law and Economics, ISDE (2013).
Master’s in Industrial and Intellectual Property, Competition and New Technologies from the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid (2014).
Course in Internet Law, New Technologies and Intellectual Property at the European Institute for Business Studies, INEMSEM (2018).
